So today is a day of Micah stories probably because that's what my day is filled with...:)
Anyways the morning started out pretty normal, Micah waking up before the sun was up and coming to my door to tell me he was hungry. Thankfully he just wants cereal because i'm really not so sure my brain would work well enough that early in the morning to actually make him breakfast. he'd probably end up with runny eggs to drink and scrambled toast to go with his toasted milk. That's how well i function the minute i get up. If he'd give me at least 15 minutes to wake-up i would probably be able to get two out of the three right...which isn't possible but anyways. I guess i should be thankful that he like his cereal!
Becky worked a swing shift last night which meant she got home around 1:30 in the morning so Micah and i tried to be quiet for a while which included him telling the dogs to be quiet anytime they made any noise, i think he was louder than them. At on point he hit one of the dogs for some reason or another which is a automatic time-out so i sent him into his room to sit on the bed with NO toys. He went to his room screaming the whole way about how he wasn't my friend and he didn't like me anymore and when his mommy got home he was going to tell on me and she was going to put me in time out. When his mom did get up a few minutes later she walks by me and says "i heard you getting told off" and then laughs.
When he woke up from his "nap" (I'm pretty sure he didn't actually sleep but oh well) he came and informed me that his pants were falling off and he needed a seat belt to help the stay on. I found that to be extremely cute :) Of course we were in a bit of a mood today, see what happens when we don't take that much needed nap, so when i said it was time to go shopping and then to the gym he informed me that he was NOT going to go with me and that he WAS going to watch a movie. Haha i won that battle and every other one!
Shopping was an experience let me tell you...
We arrived at the mall and got out of the car and he immediatly asks for a hand and tells me that he needs to hold a hand because he is a "spaz" and runs all over the place if he doesn't. Micah also doesn't like to shop i've learned, but i'll get him trained up so that he does! At the first store Maurices he did ok only asking if we were done about every 5 minutes. By the second store he told me he was leaving, and while we were paying he started growling which is never a good sign. So i packed him up and went off to Michael's, stop number three...he did pretty well there only yelling at me that he wasn't staying by me once or twice and then petting all the yarn and telling me what ones i was going to buy, but in the parking lot he decided he was running away...that was interesting i believe i grabbed him by the hood and we had a nice little talk that ended with him holding my hand as we walked to the car. We then went grocery shopping which was necessary i needed to make reese's for tomorrow. I think he was yelling at me there too a little bit but i don't remember why, oh i think he wanted to eat the chocolate chips right then and there and i wouldn't let him. Which got a Micah DO NOT TALK TO ME THAT WAY! and then i threatened to put him in bed the minute we got home, he stopped talking to me all together which worked. We did go home after that, i was feeling a little tired of shopping myself by then!
So we got home and i went to put the new stuff away and i heard micah hitting jonah...not the hitting but the angry sounds he makes when jonah is bugging him and he is retaliating by hitting. so i waited a few moments then went out there and looked at him and asked Micah were you hitting Jonah? His response " i'm just going to go to my room now, ok." Smart little kid.
After timeout we made Reese which was really nice, pretty calm the whole time! When i let him taste it at the end i asked him if he liked it and he said "this is GOOD sugar." which made me grin. I got a few pictures but i can't find the camera cord to put the pictures on the computer and that is a problem.
So i guess the moral of the story today is if micah doesn't really take a nap, only sits in his room for a hour and a half it's not an "oh well, we tried", it's a problem! And again i need to be packing because i've got fun plans for the weekend!!!!!!!
Oh ya i've been informed that yes writing a holiday letter to send out does mean i'm getting old,
